CORE PROGRAM 1
PSYCHO-SOCIAL SUPPORT THROUGH CREATIVE ARTS
After horrifying experiences in captivity, survivors often live in isolation, with shame, regret, fear, guilt, bitterness and hatred. Many experience anxiety, depression, nightmares, aggressive and suicidal tendencies, low self-esteem, and difficulty concentrating. Healing begins with trauma therapy, games and sports, creative expression, like art, music, dance, drama and peace clubs.
Core Program 2
Education Sponsorships FOR CHILDREN & YOUTH
Our education sponsorship program supports former child soldiers, child mothers, children born in captivity and children whose parents were killed in the war. The program aims at giving the children a strong education, equipping them with knowledge and skills to able to get or create jobs, thus enabling them to live self-reliant, meaningful and dignified lives.
Core Program 3
Identity, Family tracing and Reunification
We support survivors of war to obtain vital identity documents, trace their families, and reunite them. We also assist with complex and difficult land rights issues, helping conflict-impacted families to rebuild their lives with security and dignity.
CORE pROGRAM 4
Access to Clean Drinking Water
Pur partner NPO, TivaWater works with us to deliver clean water filters to homes in communities affected by the war. Evalyn featured in the video on the “Stories” page explains how the bio-sand filter has improved her family’s health in the short 6 months she’s been using it.
Core Program 5
Access to health and mental health care
Through community clinics, outreach programs, and partnerships with local healthcare providers, the organization helps survivors receive essential medical treatment, and long-term care to promote healing, resilience, and holistic well-being.
Core Program 6
Skills, Livelihoods, & Economic Development
We support child mothers and vulnerable families with vocational skills and income generating projects. Through self-help groups, child mothers are equipped with skills and provided with micro-loans for their businesses, often using recylced materials.
